City Redevelopment efforts combined with mass transit expansion framed the context for this project. The market called for multi-family housing and ground level commercial lease space. The small site and configuration presented a challenge to site layout and building design.
The chosen solution was a courtyard style, multi-story building adjoining the public sidewalk on the transit line with limited on site parking for occupants. The full height courtyard provides secure access and abundant natural light for residences and commercial spaces. A townhouse approach gave ideal privacy between units and 4th floor rooftop decks for private panoramic views.
