Over the years, Delta Park has been a hub for Metro and regional outdoor sports programs. Its unique location, identity and open area make it ideal in many ways. Rapidly growing interest in soccer & lacrosse, combined with the weather and traffic on natural grass fields, has increased the need and challenge to provide better and more facilities. Working with the premier local soccer club and city, a strategy was developed to upgrade and expand Delta Park fields and facilities.

The resulting solution has started by reconditioning existing grass soccer fields with synthetic turf. Improving drainage, adding lights, walkways & spectator seating helped turn limited use to 24/7 use. Upgrading premier/tournament fields with spectator grandstands, concessions and perhaps MLS soccer practice is anticipated next. Also planned is an indoor soccer/lacrosse facility with abundant support features for all facility needs – making Delta Park a top quality sports complex for years to come.
